Ghost Detector: Spirit Hunter
What did I do, and why?
A friend of mine who works in social media does ghost hunting for his content. Him and a business partner needed an app for their followers, really just a toy that they their followers could play with. The plan was to make a few different functions that could be used for “ghost hunting”. So we settled on:
- A button feature with haptic feedback (vibrations) that the user could press, or the “ghost” could press.
- A camera with an “ghost vision” view (really a filter, made to look similar to an infrared camera)
- An “anomaly detector” that would alert the user when a ghost was nearby.
How did it go?
It was quite successful. A fun project, not anything beyond my skills at the time, and I got to learn about releasing apps on the mobile market. We released to both iOs and Android. Initially it was recieved well and was trending for a time in the Entertainment category. The users enjoyed the app, the clients were satisfied, and I was happy with the work.
